Peter Gross 

Peter has spent more than 30 years in the water and wastewater industry, successfully launching new technologies globally. In 1987, Peter founded Aeromix, building the company as a leader in wastewater aeration and decentralized wastewater treatment plants and later sold to a private equity group. Peter was appointed CEO at RWL Water USA (2010-2016), a company with operations, sales offices and thousands of installations around the world.

Two years ago, he founded Surge H20, a consultancy firm assisting executive teams with go-to-market plans, as well as international financing, sales and marketing strategies. Peter also supports Emerson Collective, a family office in California leading their water strategy while serving on multiple boards of companies in the water and energy space. He is the inventor on record on 10 patents relating to water and wastewater technology, holds an MBA Marketing from the University of Minnesota, and an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering.


Dr Steve Gluck

Steve is an independent consultant in the water and wastewater sectors. His expertise includes technology assessment and implementation, analytical chemistry, process problem solving, communications and leadership. He was employed for more than thirty years working in various R&D roles within The Dow Chemical Company until 2015 and finished his career there as one of 2 Fellows in Dow Water & Process Solutions.

He is a specialist in wastewater treatment technologies and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Whitworth University, a Masters Degree in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Idaho and a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Leipzig.


Chris Morrison 

Chris is an independent consultant working in the global water sector across three focus areas, namely leadership, engagement and financing & acquisitions. Career highlights for Chris include Division Vice President/Global Accounts at Nalco Water where he was responsible for global sales, marketing and P&L.

Chris was also a Vice President at Technology Partnerships based in San Francisco, responsible for joint development programs using outside innovations and novel technologies. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chris specializes in several sectors including wastewater, gills and pre-treatment, mining and the paper-making sector.


Hank Habicht

Over the past three decades, Hank has held several leadership roles in the water and energy sectors for both public and private organizations. He has also held a number of leadership positions including Senior Vice President at Safety-Kleen, Inc., Co-founder of Capital E, a consulting firm focused on innovative technologies, and CEO of the Global Environment Technology Foundation (GETF), a non-profit firm leading major water initiatives across the world.

Hank has a depth of investment experience as well, including serving with William Ruckelshaus as the general partner of the Environmental Venture Fund and as a managing partner of SAIL Capital Partners since 2006. Hank graduated from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University with high honors and earned his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.


John Mercer

Most of John’s professional career has been in brewery and wastewater management. With 20 years of experience in brewery wastewater treatment, today John offers consultancy services helping small brewers create affordable solutions to their wastewater problems.

Much of John’s expertise come from his first-hand experience at Deschutes Brewery, where he was wastewater plant manager for more than a decade.

John holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology, from Eastern Illinois University.

Paul Hatten, Group CEO, BioGill

Paul is a technology driven, senior executive with a track record of accomplishment in strategic international business management roles within the water and wastewater sectors. With more than 25 years’ experience driving corporate strategy, vision, product validation, channels to market, operations implementation, and execution management, Paul has held senior executive roles within various high value Australian and US companies.

Specialist areas for Paul include Agile and Change Management, Open Book and Lead Management, Capacity Restraint Process Development and Cross Functional Team Development and product market fit ensuring financial viability. Paul holds an Associate of Engineering Applied Science Construction Hydraulics from Technical and Further Education Queensland and is currently completing a Masters of Business Administration at La Trobe University.
