Zero water exchange on broodstock tank - July 2013

Read the latest report on BioGill's performance on a broodstock tank at the Port Stephens Fisheries Institute, NSW, Australia.

The key findings are that BioGills in a recirculating aquaculture system for a hatchery:

• maintained or improved water quality
• allowed zero water exchange in the latter stages of the project (23 weeks)
• reduced energy usage
• maintained breeding performance and health of the broodstock.
